I have been successful in implementing password recovery for my 6.x users. All my certs has been migrated to the CA process, and slowly but surely the 6.x users are migrating to the password recovery behind the scenes. I did notice one problem, I am unsure on how to force the administration password to change. Here's the scenario: I have a user who needs their password recovered, I successfully retrieve the admin password from the back-up id file in the mail-in database. Now that the user is up and running I would like to change the admin recovery password for that id. The Domino helps says you should ask the user to re-accept the password recovery info in order for the password to change. How do you do this for 6.x users where the process initially happened in the background without user intervention? I do not think it will happen automatically, I have used the password recovery process for a user and everything worked fine, but when I go back to the mail-in DB there is no new id file for this user and the recovery password for the original file is the same. It has been a few days since the user used the password recovery process to get back into the client.
